Credit Cards Holiday Seasons Promo - Is it Good For You?

I received this promo email from My Bank’s credit card and I got a smile on my face after reading because of how banks nowadays think of ways to let the credit card holders use their cards, specially on this coming holiday seasons.

Just like this, a promo where you can have a free shuttle ride on weekends and you don’t have to worry on your gasoline because you will just leave your car at home and enjoy your mall hopping in Metro Manila. From Trinoma, Gateway, Robinsons Galleria to Greenhills and Shangrila, Tiendesitas to Market! Market! then straight to Glorietta then to Robinsons Place Ermita. For you to avail this promo you just have to use your Cards for a minimum single receipt purchase of P1,000 at any merchant to qualify for redemption of the free shuttle ride. Credit cash advance transactions are also qualified for the promo and get a FREE ride to your favorite mall on weekends! Within the Promo period: Nov 15, 2008 to Jan 04, 2009. Isn’t it a wise idea on bank’s side?

What surprised me is that Only one (1) free shuttle ride can be availed per transaction slip. Should a cardholder decide to transfer routes or ride another route, s/he must present another transaction slip. Wow! that must be so expensive than I thought.

I don’t know if it is of an advantage that I am a cardholder here in Cagayan de Oro City where most establishments and merchants are not credit card ready on their transactions and the cost of living is not as high as it is in Manila because it wouldn’t requires me to keep on using my card everytime I hang out. That is why I still love to stay in Cagayan de Oro, life here is laidback, peaceful and easy far from the life in Metro Manila where people are always on the go, very busy, populated and the traffic is worst than in Cagayan de Oro. I have been complaining on traffic problems here in Cagayan de Oro but it is much different in Manila.

I am not against Metro manila, in fact I still want to go back there anytime soon but what I am talking about here is the way or place I choose to stay and live my life. Anyway, we went far from Credit cards promo with that.

I can tell, having a credit card is not a needs and I didn’t acquire a Credit Card because I need it nor I want it badly, but I just wanted to try to have it and experience how is it having a card. I can tell now that having a credit card is hassle. Yes, it is a convenient way for emergency and when you have the urge to buy things while window shopping at the mall or eating out with friends and family but when the bills come that’s where you can say OMG! ehehehe…

So my advice, Credit is good but we need cash! ahahahahahah… Unsa na Tindahan nga sari2x store? Murag grabe na nga nosebleed nako while writing this article, but I can’t help it gusto lang jud ko mag iningles karun bisan tinangkong ang agi sa akong English. Practise lang pud bya na ako para sad in preparation ugma damlag basin ipadala ta sa US of America kay kuhaon ko ni Newly Elected United States President Barrack Obama as member of his cabinet (sa iyang aparador).

Bitaw katulgon nako, it is almost 1 in the morning and I am still here in front of my PC (Addict sa Internet slash Insomnia slash walay lingaw). I got to go to Bed now and maybe continue reading the book I bought last month… Dugay na to wala pa japon nako nahuman tapos naa pa duha ka books that I bought which are not yet opened since I bought it. Basa2x pud bya ta ginagmay para sad masudlan ni akong utok ug para sad ok na akong english, kay bisan love jud nako ang BISAYA language or Dialect whatever it is… duh… kailangan jud nako makabalo ug English kay mahirap na magkalisod-lisod karung panahuna. Mao pay dagway nato murag bagtak sa lamok nga dengue carrier tapos dili pa ta kabalo mag english patay…. asa nalang kaha ta pudyuton ani.

Sige mga Chuyens ug Chayens… wehehehe…maayong pagbasa ani akong walay lingaw nga article, ug balik-balik bya mo sunod ha… Adavance Merry Christmas sa inyong tanan! Ug apil nalang pud happy New Year para dili usik ang load.
