Capitol University Medical City - Gusa Area
Originally named Cagayan Capitol General Hospital, it was created in compliance with the education department’s requirements for the College’s School of Midwifery established by Madame Laureana San Pedro Rosales in 1973. It was renamed CCC General Hospital when it upgraded into a secondary hospital in 1976, then serving as a training facility for the nursing and midwifery students of Cagayan Capitol College (CCC). It moved to the present location along CM Recto Avenue in Barangay Gusa in 1983 and became accredited as a tertiary hospital with a 50 bed capacity.
By 1998, it became the Cagayan Capitol General Hospital Foundation Inc offering medical, surgical, pediatrics, obstetrics services in its outpatient and in-patient care units, radiology, laboratory and rehabilitation facilities with highly competent medical staff headed by Dr. Jesus M. Jardin.
Now known as CUMC, it has developed centers of excellence in some fields of medical care with highly advanced facilities and high- caliber specialists and sub specialists.
