It was just a week after I attended the fun filled learning experience of the 1st Cebu Blog Camp in Cebu City, then again I travelled to General Santos City last weekend via Davao for the Mindanao Food Appreciation Tour / The SoCCSKSarGen Summer Safari prepared by the powerful duo of Gensan, Avel and Orman Manansala.

From Cagayan de Oro City, the CDOBloggers (ChiQ, Mike, Goma, Magman, Venus, Ding, Bang and yours truly) travelled more or less 10 hours to General Santos for this awesome, sumptuous, splendid and superb Food Appreciation tour. But before we went to General Santos, we stopped over first at Ranchero Grill situated at Tiongko St. fronting Central Bank in Davao City for our delectable lunch with the Davao Bloggers. It feels like heaven to have tasted those baby back ribs, buttered chicken, and the rest of the menu that they served to us that time. I may have tasted some of them here in CDO but foods at Ranchero Grill makes me feel like heaven everytime I relish them. I can recommend their back ribs for those meat lovers and their crab menu is heavenly tasty.

CDOBloggers Trip to Camiguin 2009

People around the region, all over the Philippines and the world pull in to this wonderfully created Paradise Island by the volcano – the Camiguin Island; hence, it is called the “Island Born of Fire”. Since 1995, I’ve been always revisiting this place every year, not just for the Holy Week season, but also to visit our relatives because Camiguin Island is my mom’s birth place. It is a 2-hour fast craft ride (Paras Sea Cat) from Cagayan de Oro port to Benoni port in Camiguin for 400 pesos (Holy week promo rate), but you can also reach the island by travelling more than an hour bus ride from Cagayan de Oro bus terminal in Agora to Balingoan port in Misamis Oriental and then right there you can hop aboard on a Ferry boat for a 45 minutes to 1 hour trip to Benoni or Guinsiliban ports. We all know cdo is devastated with flash flood for the past 2 weeks already. Many families lost their homes and possessions. CDObloggers is making a campaign to help in any way that we can.
